I was in need of a quiet night and found a place that met my needs. The staff handled my dietary requests and even made a room swap easy when I had noise issues. I left feeling satisfied after a restful stay.

The old-world charm really captivated me during my stay. I appreciated the beautifully kept gardens and original features that made me feel like I was in a grand, historic home. The staff were very accommodating, especially with my dietary requests. I did notice that the hot water in the shower was a bit weak.

No nonsense, just the truth

If you're searching for a traditional hotel experience, be warned, issues abound. Noise disturbances can keep you up, while cleanliness raises concerns, especially in the bathrooms. Some staff were accommodating, and breakfast boasted tasty options, but the dated decor and poor maintenance left much to be desired. Proceed with caution if you still decide to stay!

Perfect for a family gathering

Let me tell you, the staff were great, especially that Elliot fella. He helped carry my father's luggage and even managed the bar all night for the wake without losing his cool, if ya know what I mean.

Wasn't exactly a budget option, but worth it for what we got.

The entire hotel could benefit from a full remodel with peeling wallpaper, worn carpets, and outdated bathroom fixtures!!! Addressing noise issues from events and kitchen fans would greatly enhance comfort during stays!!!

I had a lovely stay for two nights in a Standard Double Room. The food was scrumptious, especially the breakfast, and the gardens were beautiful despite some damp areas. Would definitely recommend it!

Absolutely loved the breakfast here-proper hearty fare to kickstart the day! The bar area is cozy as well, perfect for winding down after exploring. Plus, the location is ideal for hitting up nearby eateries and sights. On the plate, the Koshihikari rice was just divine, really topped off a great meal.

We explored nearby historical sites and ventured into nature, soaking up the beautiful landscapes. The staff was really nice and helped us with everything we needed . Just a heads-up , make sure to check meal availability in advance, especially on weekends.

It was just a nice choice for a brief hiatus in Alloa with great value for the money. The staff, especially Mary in the bar, were super friendly and made the night enjoyable. For a budget stay, don't expect luxury, but enjoy the character of the place.

Would recommend for resting at all

Spacious room, excellent breakfast, friendly staff, including a welcome drink and free Wi-Fi, made our stay enjoyable, and the location was convenient being 34 km from the nearest airport for easy transportation.
